I loved this shot because it's a great side and back view of my Paladin Cecil costume from Final Fantasy: Dissidia and Final Fantasy IV. It shows the detail on the shoulder horns, gauntlets, hip armor, the dual-layered cape and gathered silk panel from the opposite hip. The outer cape is gathered by hand and the inner one is made of silk and is hand painted with a white fur trim. There is a lined panel on the opposite side (not shown) made of the same fabric as the cape, which includes red fur accents.
Some of the details are original touches. Much of the gold on the breastplate and horns were added to enhance the overall look. I even added rhinestones to various pieces of armor to add some sparkle to the armor when it's worn in the sunlight.
I still have some details to add to the costume, but I'm glad that I could achieve at least this much in time for Connecticon 2010!
Some stock images were also used to jazz up the original background. The ones that I used are:

Edit: THANK YOU everyone for viewing the main page 27,000 times! It makes me dizzy to think of that. I can't thank you all enough for your support!
Really love this costume, but I have to ask: what did you use to make the armor? I'm doing Cecil for 2012 Otakon (yes, I figure I will have to think that much in advance) but since I'm a petite ladyperson I wanted to make sure it was as light as possible but still looked good. Which you seem to have done!
Hi! It's good to plan in advance. The larger parts of the armor was made of poster board & tape which was covered in different fabrics. Some of the more sculptural parts (horns & shoulder armor) were made of foam.
