Description
Only an honest death will cure you now... liberate you, from your wild curiosity.
This is one of my favorite shots from our mini-shoot by the water. I like to imagine this as Lady Maria's arrival in the fishing hamlet.
The costume was made by me except for the undershirt and trousers, which were purchased and then dyed. The boots and hat were bought and modified and the pendant was an Ebay find.
Maria's hunter gear is beautifully textured, so I wanted to reflect that with each chosen material. The cape, trousers, and hat are all made out of microsuede. The gauntlets and top of the boots are made of leather while the vest was made of dupioni silk. The jabot is made of a gorgeous off-white linen.
The jacket is made of a lovely jacquard black fabric, which I decided to line in an iridescent taffeta that is woven with scarlet red and shot with black. The bottom of the hems were weathered and then burnt to give it "The Old Yharnam treatment." I decided to keep the collar clean, at least for now. I may end up making a gross version later!
Also, the Rakuyo sword was made by me out of wood. It's even detachable!

Looks really cool!
Hey, could you explain how you made Rakuyo detachable? I thought of making this cosplay, but I can't think of a good way to make that sword work the way it should.
