Hellsing: Queen of the Night

A full body compilation of my completed Blood Seras costume that shows the full view of the suit and arm. I love this costume to bits and pieces and I can't wait to wear it again! The Shadow Arm was entirely worth the week of Carpal Tunnel pain that it induced.
The suit is made of burgundy suiting fabric, which I interfaced and lined in the same fabric to give it militaristic stiffness and strength.  The cuffs were drafted and made by me, built from suede to add texture for the slight contrast in fabric.
The pattern I used for the jacket was heavily modified by me, sold at the time by Vogue patterns, but now I believe to be out of print (sadly!)  The pockets are all functional (which is a beautiful thing when you have little bits and pieces to carry around a convention) and there are seven curved darts in the back for style and shape.
The arm piece is made of foam rubber with an internal wire structure, along with red LED lights laced in to add an eerie glow effect.
